Fairwind Cruise and Event Schedule

Fairwind Yacht Club has an active cruising schedule.

Whether you’re an experienced cruiser or a first time sailor, there’s room on a Fairwind Cruise for you. For information on future events, please look at the schedules in the left and right hand sidebars or view our club calendar.

The Cruise Chair for MdR or CIH will send out global email announcements about one month prior to the event or cruise. The CIH Cruise Chair is Dan Beck. The MdR Cruise Chair is Arlene de Anda.

Channel Islands Schedule 2026

Channel Islands Harbor cruises include visits to various anchorages at Santa Cruz island.  It is a great way for newer club members to experience cruising with guidance from seasoned skippers.  It is also a great way for knowledgeable skippers to give back to the club.  Join a club cruise for fun camaraderie at the islands!
 
For 2026 we have 1 whale watch and 4 cruises planned from March to October, led by our cruise chair, Dan Beck.  For more information, see the club calendar.

March 21
Whale Watch near Port Vicente Lighthouse in Palos Verdes

May 28 – June 1
Avalon: Sail directly, or you might stop over in King Harbor or San Pedro on the way to the Taste of Avalon or Wine Festival
Optional Blue Moon sail back to Two Harbors on May 31, then sail back to MdR on June 1

June 19-21
Alamitos Bay near Belmont Shore

July 12
Paradise Cove: Day trip or optional overnight

August 9
Cabrillo Beach or Inspiration Point with an overnight option

September 29 – Oct 3
Buccaneer Days: 36th Annual Buccaneer Days at Two Harbors

October 20 – October 26
Newport Beach: Sail via San Pedro and return via Long Beach
Halloween Fun: Optional visit to Queen Mary Dark Harbor.
Bonus: Optional Full Moon Sail back to MdR on October 26.

November 15
King Harbor: Day sail with optional overnight
