US SAILING’s mission is to encourage participation and promote excellence in sailing and sailboat racing in the United States. US SAILING provides programs and services for sailors and sailing organizations throughout the country and at all levels.

The mission of the Southern California Yachting Association is to provide an organization for the support and promotion of amateur, recreational and pleasure yachting in Southern California by providing an organization and a forum to foster local, regional, national and international yachting competition, coordinate race schedules, activities and regattas, conduct seminars, and provide training and education on race management and safety at sea.

The Recreational Boaters of California is committed to the protection of all recreational boaters in California. The goals of the RBOC are:

  • to protect all California recreational boaters and boating rights
  • to achieve and enhance a balance between protecting the environment and the responsible use of our waterways
  • to pursue effective education prior to new regulations
  • to increase safety on the waterways
  • to oppose unreasonable taxes and fees paid by boaters
  • to ensure that recreational boating is excluded from proposed laws aimed at the maritime industry

The California Clean Boating Network consists of a collaboration of government, environmental, business, boating, and academic organizations working to increase and improve clean boating education efforts in California. Through the exchange of information and consideration of new trends in clean boating practices, CCBN members increase their ability to educate the boating public about clean boating practices.

 

The National Safe Boating Council (NSBC) was organized in September 1958, and presently has a membership of over 350 U.S. and Canadian organizations, all with an interest in boating safety and education. The NSBC is the foremost coalition for the advancement and promotion of safer boating through education.

 

The Association of Santa Monica Bay Yacht Clubs fosters cooperation and coordination for racing and yachting activities in Marina Del Rey, King Harbor and Environs. The purpose of the Association is to support and promote the principle, spirit and objectives of Corinthian yachting among members of the Association. It is the aim and desire of ASMBYC to promulgate rules of conduct for its members so as to broaden the knowledge of nautical experience, fair play, and sportsmanship in the yachting fraternity, aimed always toward the goal of safety at sea.

 

The US SAILING Community Sailing Council promotes and supports the interests of community sailing programs, and provides a forum for community sailing programs to exchange information. US Sailing’s mission is to provide leadership for the sport of sailing in the United States. The organization works to achieve this mission through a wide range of programs and events, geared towards providing an equal level playing field for all sailors. US Sailing sets the course enabling sailors to enjoy the sport for a lifetime.
